I got engaged!

This is going to be the long version of everyone who has heard the short story. So last week, Ernie texted me and told me that his office was doing a raffle at work to raise money for a child who was sick. He said he paid some money to the raffle and the prizes were really good.  He told me he won passes to Disneyland. But even better, we won two annual passes and even one with parking! If you don't know about annual Disneyland passes, they are quite pricey!!
I was so happy that we won the passes that I actually moonwalked around my office. 
I was telling everyone.
Ernie told me that he would take a 1/2 day off work on Thursday so he could take me. I don't have weekends off so it would be easier for him to take a little break off work rather than me asking for a weekend off.
So yesterday came and I was super pumped to go to the park. Disneyland is like my home away from home. That place makes me so happy and I have so many happy memories there. 
Since we got the annual passes you have to check in and then go get a hard copy of the pass since Ernie had printed tickets. I told him I wanted to do that at California Adventure Park because I wanted to get a jump start at Cars Land. It's the newest addition to the park and it would be the most crowded.
Ernie told me that he wanted to go to Disneyland since he wanted a corn dog. I said they had corn dogs at CAP. He told me he then wanted to go to some rides at Disneyland and then spend the rest of the day at CAP.  I agreed and we got into Disneyland. He told me we needed to take pictures for the office, to show everyone that we won the passes. To put it on the website for the company.

So we head straight for the corn dog cart to start the day off right. While chowing down, I remember that my friend Joanna works at the park. She told me to meet her 1/2 way by the castle because she had a meeting. We go to the snow white fountains and we see each other and chit chat.  I haven't been noticing that Ernie is on his phone a lot.  After I say goodbye to Joanna we go in front of the castle and they are doing a Mary Poppins show. I tell Ernie let's just keep moving to Haunted Mansion. He tells me that we should just wait until the show is over because it would be good to take more pictures in front of the castle for the office website.  I happily oblige since I LOVE Disneyland and love taking pictures in front of the castle. 
Ernie finds a nice photographer and he starts taking our pictures.  His name was Bryon and he was so so nice.  At one point when he was taking our picture I see Ernie's friend Tony in the crowd with a video camera.  I say "Hey, there's Tony!" Ernie said, "No, no you must be mistaken" I blow it off because sometimes I confuse people for my friends. A lot. 

So Byron takes us over the side of the castle so we could be in the shade and get less people in the background so it would be a great picture.  He takes my sweat shirt from my hands and puts in on a rail. 

He poses Ernie and I and we take some more cute pictures. 
Then Ernie asks Byron if they can do the picture where they put Tinkerbell in your hand.  I bet you can see where this is going!

All of a sudden Ernie quickly takes the ring out of his pocket and puts it in my hand! 

I can't even blink and Ernie is down on one knee and telling me how much he loves me.
I can barely hear him because I am shouting out "oh my gosh!!"

I still can't believe it's happening!

I think Ernie looks so happy and I am so ready to put that ring on!

All of a sudden, Ernie's friend Tony pops out again with the video camera and I say "I knew I saw you!!!"

I love you so much Ernie and it really was a magical day at Disneyland.

 I was screaming around and so excited after! I immediately called my momma and she obviously knew because Ernie asked my mom and my two brothers for my hand in marriage. 

My dad passed away when I was 20, so I thought it was so sweet that Ernie asked my family. He said since my brothers are the man of the house now, it was proper to ask since I was the little girl. 

Now the first thing that people ask when we got engaged was...

When's the date?!!

We are happy to say that we are looking for a fall 2013 wedding. 

We don't know where, either NorCal or SoCal. 

But details will be worked out. 

Right now we are happy and relaxing as a newly engaged couple!
