what to wear for new year's eve

That odd week between Christmas and New Years. People are still on vacation.  Coming down from a shopping high. Or at least I am. Planning on what to do for New Years Eve. For me, I think the build up is always bigger than the actual night. I always have grandiose ideas of fabulous parties, sipping champagne and confetti falling from the ceiling at midnight. Where in actuality...it's my bubba and I on the couch trying to stay awake to watch the ball drop.
This year might be different since I have a strong will to stay off the couch. So of course you need clothing options.

If I were go on a date night with the bubs or have a casual night at a friend's house. I would choose an option like this. 

Loving gold jewelry I would play up my outfit with a set of bangles. With some plaid pants, I would pair it with a whimsical top. Keeping with the casual look, of course I would wear some flats.

Now if we were headed to a fancy NYE party, of course I would have to bring out the sparkle. If you do a lot of sequins...wear minimal jewelry! I love the cap sleeves of this dress. Paired with black opaque tights and booties that have gold details, brings the outfit together. I would then wear my hair halfway up and put a black bow in my hair. 

Finally, I am not totally ruling out pajamas on NYE. But only if I am going to a pajama party! I love wearing little "pajama suits" as I like to call them. 

But a comfy fitted tee and sweats will also work!
