What is your all-time favorite song?
LOL so cheesy but...
LOL so cheesy but...
Brian Wilson by Barenaked Ladies. In all honestly it's my favorite band too but not desert island band. That would be different as shown below. But screaming/singing on the top of my lungs with my bestie Amy in the car with the sunroof open...that is the best song..
What is your favorite singer/band?
That would HAVE to be the Beatles.
That would HAVE to be the Beatles.
It's my desert island music, you know, the one you had to listen to for the rest of your life. It would have to be it. I never can get tired, the Beatles just change my mood for the better. Even my outlook on life. I love it.
What is your theme song/song that best describes your life?
What songs put you in a good mood?
Anything that reminds me of someone or a special memory.
U2, Something Corporate, No Doubt, Blink 182.... LOL all like 90s music for me!!

What song are you embarrassed to admit you love?
UHHH I guess that is embarrassing to like Britney that much....
But I can more embarrassing!
Sometimes I always feel like somebody's watching me!
Do you know how scary it is when you are home alone taking a shower?!
Every little noise I think it's a murderer!!!!
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Fly Away Friday
Hello there, welcome to Friday!
Why can we just work two days a week and have off 5 days?
I think that would be much better for everyone.
If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I went to the dog park with Mochi. But it wasn't the best time because as my dog was sitting in the shade with his ball two Australian Shepherds came over to say hi.
Then this blonde dog came over and I guess didn't like Mochi and in the blink of an eye, this dog was baring his teeth, barking his head off then Mochi barked back and BOOM
this dog pinned down Mochi and was baring his teeth into his neck.
I started screaming for help to get these dogs off each other all while panicking that my dog was going to be injured all because I wanted to treat him to an afternoon at the park.
Luckily Mochi is okay and I was covered in dirt and scratches to get this dog off, so needless to say I am over the dog park and irresponsible dog owners.
But each day is a new one so I am going to escape and head off to Sonoma with Nicole from
Treasure Tromp!
Enjoy!
__________________________________________________________________________
Hi there Pink On The Cheek readers!
I'm Nicole, the
gal responsible for the happenings over at Treasure Tromp.
Thanks to Lauren for letting me show you
around the most beautiful town in the Bay Area - Sonoma.

Although I've been living in Southern California
for the last 7 years (wow!) my heart still belongs to my hometown of Sonoma in
Northern California.

Sonoma may be known for wine,
but it also holds a lot
of California State history that few people know about.
For example, the original California Bear Flag first flew in Sonoma, which served
as the capital during the short period of the California Republic (when the state
first declared independence from Mexico).
Yeah, pretty rad.
Sonoma is also home to
the last of the Californian Missions - all those from CA are probably familiar with the
missions via 3rd grade mission recreation assignments.

Alright, enough with the history lesson, on to the good
stuff.
Downtown Sonoma has the cutest little plaza you will ever see,
complete with
duck pond (with the elusive mohawk duck),
little stage for concerts,
and the town
famous Tuesday night Farmer's Market.
Along the plaza there are a ton of great
shops, cafes, wine tasting rooms (like every other shop),
and wonderful restaurants.
If you head over to Sonoma make sure that you stop by the Basque Boulangerie Cafe,
which will
serve you the best french bread you will ever taste. Seriously.
And check out that
Caesar salad as well.

Yeah it looks good, huh?
If you're in town and looking
for a good place for a drink / live music / trivial night,
I would highly recommend
taking a trip to Murphy's
Irish Pub.

Also, if you're grabbing brunch or lunch some where
on the square, don't be afraid to order a glass of wine with your meal anytime
after 11:00am
(please note that I have both a glass of wine and a cup
of coffee in the above picture).
Seriously, you walk around town and everyone is
holding a glass of vino.
Even small cafes have a selection of wine to choose from.

Another great aspect of Sonoma is that it is so close
to some of the Bay's larger cities like San Francisco and Oakland, making them the
perfect location for a short day trip.

And finally we arrive at the I know you're really
interested in - WINE!

Although I have spent most of my life in Sonoma
Valley,
I admittedly know very little about wine beyond the fact that I like to drink a
lot of it.
Sonoma Valley has a ton of wonderful wineries
both in the city and in the surrounding areas.
I recently wrote about one of my
favorite wineries, Gundlach Bundschu, here, but
I would also recommend visiting Chateau St. Jean, Kunde, and BR Cohn (also they make AMAZING olive oil).
If you love wine as much as I do, make sure to join me
for On Wednesdays We Drink Wine.
Hope that you enjoyed the quick tour of Sonoma.
Let
me know if you make a trip to Sonoma and I'll send you more recommendations!
Thanks again to Lauren for making this Fly Away to Sonoma possible!
Thanks Nicole!
Now I will wait patiently for 11:00am to roll around so I can grab a glass of vino.

Friday's Letters

| That tongue gets me every time. What a goob. |

Hey, It's Ok!

It's okay to know that the only tan you will get this summer is a spray tan.
(that's a before picture while the spray tan was setting!)
It's okay to not dye my hair as often as I should! Let's just say my hair is ombre right now!
It's okay to get so wrapped up in 50 shades of Grey
but then still have 85% left to go and you are kinda bored of it now!
To not be able to run in the morning because it's more fun to sleep in!

Hi, happy Tuesday!
Just in case you didn't know what day it is...
Hope your weekend was great, in case you wanted to know what I was up to, just check the post below!
I even was outside just a little too long on Saturday and got a lil crispy on my shoulders. I am super fair so I need to be more careful in the sun!
Today I have Lindsay from Little Mudpies to introduce to you. She's a fantastic momma and makes me feel that I would have just so much fun when I have little ones one day!
Take a peek at some of the questions Lindsay answered for me:
Hi Pink on the Cheek readers. I'm Lindsay the momma behind the blog, Little Mudpies.
Over there you will find everything from yummy recipes and crafts.
I just finished up a week full of kids crafts and activities.
So if you have kids, are thinking about having kids or know a few kids stop on over and check out how to make sidewalk paint or paint filled eggs.
Yes. paint filled eggs.
Lauren asked me to answer a few questions for her, so here it goes!
What does your blog name mean?
Ha. Well when I was little, I was a tomboy. I was an only child and all my neighbors were boys. So I naturally did what they did. They made muddies, so I did too. Now that I have two boys and my life is coming full circle I can't wait to show them how to make the best mudpie. I consider myself a pro at it!
Do you have any blogger idols?
When I first discovered this blogging world, I clicked on a blog called Little Miss Momma. {Maybe you have heard of it! ;) Well it was her blog and her worlds that gave me the confidence to share my stories.
If you could raid any bloggers closet who's would it be?
I have two! Joanna from ModaMama for sure. She has the best style and I love that she isn't afraid. Also Robin from Garage Sales R Us. Robin gets all her clothes second hand! That is just amazing to me!
Do you have any fun summer plans?
The Forth of July is always a big deal around these parts. There is a parade in my hometown that goes right by my grandparents house. We set up our chairs by the street and wait for them to throw us candy.
Also, Oliver wants to see Niagara Falls. We are lucky that we live only a few minutes from it, so this summer that is definitely one of the things we will be doing!
Stop by and say hi sometime!!
You can also fine me here
Thanks for having me Lauren!

Socializing on Sunday
This weeks questions:
Favorite movie of all time?
That would have to be Ferris Bueller's Day Off OR Singing in the Rain.
Ferris would be the movie I would watch all the time growing up. I could relate to the move because sometimes you just need a day off from the world, especially if it was high school!
But now that I am getting older, Singing in the Rain is up there on the list.
I just swoon over Gene Kelly and wish guys were more like him.
Enjoy:
Enjoy:
Favorite movie quote?
That would be from the move "Taken".
Liam Nieson is a bad-ass in that movie.
"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."
Hell Yeah.
Best breakup movie?
500 Days of Summer.
That movie is a classic & if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you shutting of the computer and watching now. Then come back and tell me how good it was.
Which movie stars closet would you want to raid?
I actually would say Chelsea Handler. She's got great taste in clothing, always looks great on red carpet events but always stays real looking and relatable.
Have a great Sunday and have fun linking up with Neely!
