How I Survive the Holiday Season

This post would be really short if I told you, how I survive the holiday season, is wine. I mean… it’s true. But let me explain.

Yes, I am able to survive the holiday season because of wine, but it’s more than that.

Wine is one of those magical gifts that be used all holiday season.

Do you have a friend that is throwing a Friendsgiving?

Be a gracious guest a bring a bottle of Wente Vineyards! Bonus points for ‘best guest’ if you bring a bottle of red AND white.

Stumped on a gift for your in-laws?

They would love a bottle of Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay and a gift card to the local movie theater.

Going to a holiday party at someone’s house?

Bring a bottle of Wente Vineyards Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon for the host. Either wrap the bottle with a bow or carry it in a wine bag.

Attending a White Elephant party?

Wrap your favorite bottle of Wente Vineyards in an extra large box so it won’t look too suspicious as a bottle of wine! You know that guests will be fighting for this gift!

But this holiday season, I survive by having a little “me time” at home.

For me, there is nothing more relaxing than kicking my feet up with a good glass of wine and watching a holiday movie.

If you have read some of my previous posts professing my love for Wente Vineyards, I love to recommend the Morning Fog Chardonnay or Riva Ranch Chardonnay. Not that I don’t love those wines, but I have a new favorite.

When I found this Wente Vineyards Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon, it was love at first sip. Not only does it pair well with a holiday dinner, but it tastes great on its own.

I thought it would be helpful to share how to open a wine bottle at home. It’s really easy to do and once you get the hang of it, it’s not intimidating at all!
